Gale Browning,
a native of Ogden, Utah, started her career in the marine field in 1978
as a deck hand in Hawaii and quickly gained the experience to be a Charter
Captain in the British Virgin Islands and then a Delivery Skipper on
the East Coast of the United States, the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands.
Gale holds
a 100 Ton Captains License and has operated power boats and sail
boats up to 77 feet carrying up to 300 passengers.
In 1988,
Gale began a two-year apprenticeship to become a marine surveyor, including
attending several workshops, seminars and lectures and working in the
field with other surveyors before joining Hartoft Marine Survey, Ltd.
in 1990.
Gale became
a member of the National Association of Marine Surveyors in 1994, the membership with the highest standards for the marine survey industry.
